Workshop Development

We develop and deliver bi-lingual (Spanish/English*) customized workshops on all topics pertaining to underserved populations and family voice in public schools. Our workshops are specially designed to help organizations and their members to deepen their understanding of educational policy and how to support families of students with exceptional needs.

We have created workshops for various organizations including The Oakland REACH, CA Parent Power, Speak UP, Aspire Pacific Academy and Un Paso Más. Workshops topics have included special education rights, English Language Learner rights, engagement in community advisory committees (CACs) and parent voice in the collective bargaining process. We thoroughly research topics and develop easy to understand and engaging workshops so that families may be empowered to better understand complex issues and systems.

Lisa is a passionate, knowledgeable, and committed advocate for children and families. She has a personal and evident commitment to making schools more just and equitable places for all children.
