I contacted Lisa Mosko at the beginning of my son’s evaluation journey.  I knew very little about resources for kids with special learning needs, but I could see that my son was struggling. Lisa offered support and advice through the emotional first phase of realizing that my son needed extra help in school and deciding to seek a neuropsychological evaluation.  She helped provide information on different clinicians, and most importantly, she gave me hope.  She was an invaluable resource as a parent who had also been through the entire emotional journey herself. Later, Lisa’s advice helped me to feel prepared for our IEP meeting. She armed me with information and empowered me to advocate for my son. I feel so fortunate to have had Lisa’s support and guidance! -R.S., mother, Los Angeles Unified School District

In my role as a teacher’s aide for a first grade classroom, I worked with a student who had challenges with attentiveness and and communicating with other students. With Lisa’s advice, we were able to connect his parents with resources that helped them navigate how to get extra help for him. Lisa’s knowledge of California public school systems was essential in finding resources that brought out his strengths and helped his socio-emotional development. -M.M., teacher’s aide, Oakland Unified School District
